The Costa Rica VidaNet base is paid off! God has been so faithful! His people have been so generous! On December 30, 2021, leadership team members Wendell, Daryl and Manu took the final payment for the VidaNet base to the bank and walked away in awe. For many years, as DeLynn and Gloria grew VidaNet, the discipleship training moved from place to place. Discipleship training happened in “the jungle”, on “the coffee farm”, in town and in tents. But VidaNet needed a permanent home.
“I don’t know how many different properties we visited,” testified Steve Shank, board member. “A lot! When we settled on the current property, there was a sense of ‘coming home’, even if it needed a lot of work and was a big step of faith.”
“I remember when we agreed to purchase the base 5 years ago,” recalls Daryl Hoover, CFO. “Questions flowed often of, ‘How are we going to get it ready in two months for Vida Missions to happen? How are we ever going to be able to pay it off? Well, all I can say is God is faithful and many tears of joy have flooded my eyes recently.”
Work teams came and helped to transform the property room by room from an overgrown and abandoned hotel to the lovely and hospitable “Casa VidaNet” it is today. We humble our hearts before you, O God, for you have done great things.
